Construction of the 3-storey over basement extension was in reinforced concrete with blockwork infill panels to the rear with a steel framed connection to the existing gallery.

The project comprises the stripping and re-slating of 13 existing pitched roofs, extensive leadwork, rot repairs and  removal and roofing over existing fragile glass roof lights. This project involved working in conjunction with Historic Scotland.
